Abstract

  • In March 2015 Farmers Exchange (NTP) in Papua province recorded an increase of 0.31 percent to 97.42 compared to the previous month at 97.12 NTP. The increase is due to the increase in farm-gate price index (It) is higher than the increase in the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP National in March 2015 was 101.53, down 0.64 percent compared to the NTP in February 2015. This is caused by the decline in the index received by farmers 0:23 per cent increase in the index plus the price paid farmers 0:42 percent.
  • In March 2015, the sub-sector recorded Foodstuffs have NTP at 88.10; NTP subsector Horticulture at 101.76; NTP People Plantation Crops subsector is 106.72; NTP subsector Ranch at 100.80; and NTP fisheries subsector recorded at 104.22. Furthermore, NTP can be broken down into sub-sectors Fisheries NTP NTP Fishing and Aquaculture, each of which amounted to 108.87 and 91.25.
  • In rural areas of Papua an inflation of 0.58 percent in March 2015. Inflation in rural areas is due to the increase in the price index in the seventh subgroup of household expenditure, where the highest increase occurred in the subgroup of Transport and Communications which rose to 1.36 percent.
  • Nationally, a total of 25 provinces where the rural inflation highest in West Papua by 0.92 percent; while rural areas in 8 provinces experienced deflation in which the highest in NAD by 0.37 percent. For Sumapua region, only two provinces that experienced deflation, West Sulawesi and South Sulawesi; while eight other provinces rural inflation.
  • Compared Exchange Agricultural Household Business (NTUP) in February 2015, NTUP Papua in March 2015 rose 0.57 percent to 106.34.
