Abstract

þ In May 2016, Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) in Papua Province recorded an increase of 0.11 percent to 96.24 compared to the previous month's NTP of 96.14. The increase occurred because the price index received by farmers (IT) increased by 0.58 percent while the price index paid by farmers (Ib) increased by 0.47 percent.

þ National NTP in May 2016 was 101.55 or an increase of 0.32 percent compared to April 2016 NTP. This was caused by an index received by farmers that had increased by 0.42 percent and the price index paid by farmers also increased by 0.10 percent .

þ When compared to the previous month, 2 subsectors still have a NTP value below 100, namely a Food Crop Subsector NTP of 85.40 and a Farmers Subsector NTP of 99.36. While the other 3 subsectors have FTT values ​​above 100, namely the Horticultural subsector FTT of 103.63; The NTP of the People's Plantation Plant subsector was 103.27 and the NTP of the Fisheries subsector was 104.23. Furthermore, the NTP of the Fisheries sub-sector is broken down into NTP of Capture Fisheries and Cultured Fisheries NTP respectively 109.51 and 89.64. In general, the increase in the NTP index only occurred in the Horticulture subsector while the other subsectors experienced a decline in the NTP index.

þ Of the 33 provinces for which the NTP was calculated, 22 Provinces recorded an increase in FTT and 11 Provinces experienced a decrease in FTT where KalBar recorded the highest FTT increase of 1.13 percent followed by NTT with the lowest FTT increase of 0.06 percent. While Banten was recorded as the province with the largest index decline of 1.35 percent and SulBar with the smallest decrease or only 0.04 percent.

þ Rural Inflation can be determined through the household consumption index. Rural inflation in May 2016 recorded inflation of 0.61 percent. Rural inflation occurred due to an increase in the index in some sub-groups of household expenditure, where the highest index increase occurred in the Food Sub-group by 0.86 percent. While the transportation and communication sub-group experienced the largest decline in index by 0.15 percent.

þ Nationally, 25 provinces experienced rural inflation and 8 provinces experienced deflation where the highest inflation occurred in Riau by 0.62 percent and the lowest rural inflation occurred in Bengkulu by 0.01 percent. While the largest rural deflation occurred in NTB Province by 0.30 percent and North Sulawesi was the province that recorded the smallest deflation of 0.03 percent.

þ When compared with the April 2016 Agriculture Household Exchange Rate (NTUP), NTUP Papua in May 2016 increased by 0.61 percent from 108.12 to 108.78.
