EXPORT
Ø the export Value of Papua in June 2016 reached US $181,79 million or an increase of 54.96 percent compared to export May 2016 which amounted to US $117,31 million.
Ø cumulatively export value of Papua, January-June 2016 reached US $671,02 million or declined 32.67 percent compared to the same period in 2015.
Ø the largest export Increase occurred on the Non oil and gas more of US $0.12 million (562.57 percent), followed by the export of Copper Ore concentrate (HS26) & amounting to US $63,89 million (57.70%) and export of Wood from the wood Stuff & (HS44) of US $0,47 million (7.21 percent).
Ø the cumulative rate of export of Papua, January-June 2016 experienced a decline in the export of copper concentrates, plywood, and non oil and gas more than the same period in 2015, where each dropped by US $269,90 million, US $28,93 million, and US $26,80 million.
Ø the export of Papua to the main Six Nations in June 2016 reached US $176,23 million or increased 55.37 per cent compared to its value in may 2016. Exports to China reached the largest number i.e. US $61,71 million, followed by Japan at US $61,30 million and the Philippines reached US $36,16 million.
Ø cumulatively, exports to the six major countries Papua in January-June 2016 compared to the same period in the year 2015 i.e. decline amounted to 29.63 percent; Similarly, with exports to other countries dropped to 59.80 percent.
IMPORT
Ø the value of Papua in June 2016 imports reached US $85,28 million or increased 39.55 percent compared the previous month which was valued at US $61,11 million.
Ø cumulatively the import value of Papua, January-June 2016 reached US $347,90 million or increased by 9.60 percent compared to the same period in 2015.
Ø the value of imports of Various chemical products (HS38) is the greatest experience increased goods namely 1,93 million US $ (82.28 percent), while the value of imports of rubber and rubber goods (HS40) who suffered the biggest decline, namely US $6.10 million (15.95 percent).
Ø the value of imports of 10 major non oil and gas group in January-June 2016 increases 21.20 percent from its value in January-June 2015. The increase was driven by a rise in the value of imports the machines/Aircraft Mechanic (HS84) which rose by US $18,61 million (21.01%).
Ø the largest goods supplier of the three countries during June 2016 is Australia with a value of US $30,29 million (35.52 percent), Singapore US $20.37 million (23.89 percent), and the United States US $15.06 million (17.66 percent).
Ø the cumulative Imports from seven major countries in January-June 2015 worth $278,99 million or increased by 8.79 percent compared to its value in January-may 2016.
