Abstract

Presentation (release) the news of the official statistics for manufacturing industries are distinguished into large and Medium manufacturing industries (IBS) as well as Micro and small Industries (IMK).

MEDIUM and LARGE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY (IBS)
Industrial production growth of large and medium Manufacturing (q to q) Papua Province Quarter I-2017 experiencing positive growth of 3.76 per cent of IV Quarter-2016.
compared Quarterly production growth I-2016, the growth of industrial production in large and medium Manufacturing (y-on-y) province of Papua in the Quarter I-2017 experience negative growth, namely of 0.80 percent.
IBS Growth positive in q to q is caused due to an increase in the production of the main food industry (KBLI 10), while a negative growth in y-on-y quarter I-2017 due to decreased production Group The industry of wood, articles of wood and Cork (not including Furniture) and Woven from Bamboo, rattan and the like (KBLI 16). This is probably because affected reduced raw material commodity and regulation of local government for not doing the illegal logging.

MICRO and SMALL MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES (IMK)
Industrial production growth of micro and small Manufacturing (q to q) Papua Province Quarter I-2017 experiencing positive growth of 3.40 per cent of IV Quarter-2016. Such growth is caused by a factor of increasing production of some commodities, particularly Industrial commodity Tools Other Transportation (KBLI 30) followed by timber industry, goods made of wood, articles of wood and Cork (not including Furniture) and items Woven from Bamboo, rattan and the like (KBLI 16); then the printing industry and the reproduction of the recording Media (KBLI 18) and Industrial Goods of metal, not machines and equipment (KBLI 25).
If viewed with (y-on-y), the growth of Micro and small industrial production (IMK) Quarter I-2017 Papua Province is experiencing significant positive growth, namely of 21.42 percent from Quarter I-2016. This possibility can be caused due to the high demand for more consumers against certain industrial products during the Quarter I-2017 compared Quarterly I-2016, the printing industry and the reproduction of the recording Media (KBLI 18) and industry Minerals Nonmetallic wares (KBLI 23)
