Abstract

In January 2018 the two CPI cities in Papua Province

recorded changes in different index numbers

where Jayapura City experienced deflation of 1.12 percent

and Merauke experienced 0.85 percent inflation with the Index

Consumer prices (CPI) are 130.28 and respectively

at 134.91

• Jayapura City ranks 82nd at the national level

and the 18th at the Sulampua level (Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua),

while Merauke ranks 25th in the level

national and sixth at the Sulampua level.

• Calendar year inflation in Jayapura City in January

by -1.12 percent and inflation year on year (January 2018

towards January 2017) of 1.14 percent. Year inflation

Merauke calendar in January 2017 amounted to 0.85 and

year on year inflation (January 2018 against January 2017) of 1.08 percent
