- The number of sea transport passengers departing in January 2019 was 14,591 people, 12,100 from the port of Jayapura and 2,491 from the port of Merauke. There was a decrease in the number of departing passengers by 48.17 percent compared to the previous month.
- The number of passengers arriving by sea transport in January 2019 has increased by 47.57 percent. 22,645 passengers arrived in Papua, consisting of 19,798 people coming to Jayapura port and 2,847 people coming to Merauke port.
- The volume of goods loaded in January 2019 was 9,490 tons. A decrease of 46.79 percent compared to the previous month. At the Port of Jayapura, the loading volume of goods in January 2019 was recorded at 7,826 tons. While at the Port of Merauke, the cargo loading volume was 1,664 tons.
- The volume of goods unloaded in January 2019 was 125,013 tons. There was a 6.22 percent decrease compared to its volume in December 2018. At the Port of Jayapura, the volume of unloading goods in January 2019 was recorded at 88,011 tons. At the Port of Merauke, the volume of unloading goods was recorded at 37,002 tons.
