Abstract

• Papua's economy based on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on current prices in the first quarter of 2019 reached Rp 43.59 trillion and at the base of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 31.14 trillion.

• Papua's economy in the first quarter of 2019 experienced a contraction of -20.13 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, the decline was affected by almost all business fields, with the highest contraction experienced by Mining and Business Fields

The cultivation fell by -55.96 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest contraction was achieved by the Foreign Export Component of -63.64 percent.

• Papua's economy in the first quarter of 2019 compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) also contracted by -13.62 percent. The contraction in terms of production was contributed by the Mining and Quarrying Business Field by -25.04 percent. While in terms of expenditure the highest contraction

occurred in the Foreign Export Component which was -37.48 percent.

• GDP per capita in the first quarter of 2019 reached Rp 12.95 million. While the Per capita GRDP without Mining and Quarrying is Rp. 10.05 Million.
