In January 2020, Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) in Papua Province fell by -0.01 percent with an NTP index of 101.55. The decline occurred because the increase in the price index paid by farmers (𝐼𝑏) was greater than the price index received by farmers (𝐼𝑡).
The National NTP for January 2020 was 104.16 or an increase of 0.78 percent compared to the NTP in the previous month.
Papua Province NTP in January 2020 according to sub-sectors namely: NTP Food Crop Subsector 101.13; NTP Horticultural Subsector 95,58; NTP People's Plantation Plant Subsector 95.15; Livestock NTP Subsector 109.25 and Fishery NTP 111.24. Furthermore, the Fisheries subsector's NTP is broken down into 111.86 Capture Fisheries NTP and Cultured Fisheries NTP 100.82
Of the 34 provinces that were calculated NTP in December 2019 showed that 24 provinces experienced an increase in FTT while 10 other provinces experienced a decrease in FTT where Riau recorded the highest increase in FTT of 5.59 percent and NAD recorded the largest decrease of -0.97 percent.
Rural Papua in January 2020 recorded an inflation of 0.69 percent.
From 34 provinces known 33 provinces experienced rural inflation and 1 province experienced rural deflation. The highest rural inflation occurred in NAD at 1.48 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in West Papua at 0.39 percent. Rural deflation occurred in Southeast Sulawesi, which fell by -0.003 percent.
The Exchange Rate of Agricultural Household Enterprises (NTUP) in Papua in January 2020 was 103.28, an increase of 0.58 percent.
