Papua Province's Economy Growth Quarter 1 - 2025

The economy of Papua Province, based on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in the first quarter of 2025, reached Rp 21,834.86 billion, and at constant 2010 prices, it reached Rp 13,080.08 billion.

The economy of Papua Province in the first quarter of 2025 grew by 3.91 percent year-on-year compared to the first quarter of 2024. From the production side, the highest growth was recorded in the Government Administration, Defense, and Compulsory Social Security sector, which grew by 8.14 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the Household Consumption Expenditure component, which rose by 3.44 percent.

Compared to the previous quarter, the economy of Papua Province in the first quarter of 2025 contracted by -1.53 percent quarter-on-quarter. From the production side, the Transportation and Warehousing sector experienced the deepest contraction at -8.14 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the Government Consumption Expenditure component experienced the deepest contraction at -24.04 percent.
