Paddy Harvested Area and Production in Papua Tengah Province 2023 (Final Figures)

Food crop statistics have a strategic role in agriculture. It is used by governmentto determine the direction of development policies in Indonesia, primarilyrelated to food fulfillment. The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS collects data onpaddy harvested areas every month through the Area Sampling Frame (ASF)survey, which is a collaborative activity between BPS with the Agency for theAssessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) and the National Institute ofAviation and Space (LAPAN) which is now merged into the National Researchand Innovation Agency (BRIN), the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and SpatialPlanning/National Land Agency (Ministry of ATR/BPN), and the GeospatialInformation Agency (BIG). Meanwhile, yield data, which is the multiplier ofharvested area to produce paddy production data, is obtained through thecrop-cutting Survey.
