IDI Preparation FGD for the 2022 period

In the context of compiling the Papua Province Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) for the 2022 period, BPS Papua Province conducted a Focus Group Discussion on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Suni Hotel, Abepura. The activity was officially opened by Mr. Musa Isir, Head of the Papua Province Political and National Unity Agency, as chairman of the Papua Province Democracy working group.

This activity invites experts, academics and practitioners who are struggling with the implementation of democracy in Papua. Through this activity, participants confirm and verify the results of data collection through newspaper and document coding, as well as online portal web scrapping. Even though they were fasting, all of the resource persons actively participated in the discussion. It is hoped that through this activity an Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) for the Province of Papua in 2022 will be produced which truly describes the conditions for the development of democracy in Papua during 2022.
