Abstract

The economy of Papua in 2014 as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices reached USD 123.179 billion and GDP per capita reached USD 39.85 million.
Papua economy grew 3.25 percent in 2014 slowed down compared to the year 2013 amounted to 7.91 percent. On the production side, the highest growth achieved by Business Sector Administration, Defence and Compulsory Social Security by 15.96 percent. On the expenditure side the highest growth achieved by the Foreign Import Component of 105.27 percent.
Economic Papua fourth quarter of 2014 compared to the fourth quarter of 2013 (y-on-y) experienced a contraction of -7.39 percent drop when compared to the same period the previous year by 11.71 percent.
Economic Papua fourth quarter of 2014 contracted by -4.21 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). On the production side, it is caused by a decline in metal ore mining production grew minus 16.08 percent. On the expenditure side caused by the Foreign Export Component.
