From 82 city CPI recorded 72 cities suffered inflation (including Merauke) and 10 cities suffered deflation (including the city of Jayapura). The highest inflation occurred in the city of Tual of 1.31 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in the town of Cilacap of 0.02 percent. The biggest deflation occurred in Manokwari District of 0.69 percent and the smallest deflation occurred in the town of Sukabumi and Kendari respectively amounted to-0.03 percent. Jayapura ranked-76 at the national level and no. 16 on the level of Sumapua (Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua). While the Merauke 62-ranked nationally and no. 11 at the level of Sumapua.

While the decline of the index numbers are a group of food, drink, cigarette and tobacco 0.05 percent; the group housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.07 percent; the Group obtained 0.01 percent; Group clothing 0.33 percent; the Group of education, recreation and sport 0.05 percent and transport, communication and financial services 0.83 percent. Inflation in Merauke in April 2015 occurs due to an increase in the price of goods and services indicated by the rise in the index in the Group of expenses: food group so, drinks, cigarette and tobacco 0.44 percent; Group clothing 0.41 percent; group health 1.31 percent and transport, communication and financial services 1.46 percent. While the decline of the index numbers are groups of foodstuffs-0.58 percent; the group housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel-0.02 percent and education, recreation and sport-0.01 percent.
