Abstract

In March 2019, the two CPI cities in Papua Province recorded a change in the same index number, where Jayapura City experienced inflation of 0.26 percent and Merauke experienced inflation of 0.31 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 141.27 and 138.46.

Jayapura City ranks 22nd at the national level and 4th at the Sulampua level (Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua), while Merauke ranks 14th at the national level and 2 nd at the Sulampua level.

Calendar year inflation in Jayapura City in March was 0.49 percent and year on year inflation (March 2019 against March 2018) was 5.10 percent. Merauke calendar year inflation in March 2019 was -1.82 and year on year inflation (March 2019 against March 2018) was 1.61 percent.
