In March 2019, Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) in Papua Province rose 0.81 percent with an NTP index of 91.61. The increase occurred because changes in the price index received by farmers were greater than the price index paid by farmers.
National NTP in March 2019 was 102.73 or decreased by 0.21 percent.
Papua Province NTP in March 2019 according to sub-sectors, namely: NTP Food Crop Subsector 83.99; NTP Horticultural Subsector 84.93; NTP People's Plantation Plant Subsector 103.02; Livestock Subsector NTP 103.57 and Fishery NTP 99.74. Furthermore, the Fisheries subsector's NTP is broken down into 106.67 Capture Fisheries and 80.80 Aquaculture NTP.
Of the 33 provinces, 17 provinces experienced an increase in FTT while 16 other provinces experienced decreases in FTT where Southeast Sulawesi recorded the highest FTT increase of 1.41 percent while DKI Jakarta recorded the largest FTT decline of -2.43 percent.
Rural Inflation in Papua in March 2019 recorded a deflation of 0.36 percent.
Of the 33 provinces recorded 19 provinces experienced rural inflation, 14 provinces experienced rural deflation. The highest rural inflation occurred in DKI Jakarta, which was 0.98 percent and the largest rural deflation occurred in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, which fell by -0.68 percent.
The Exchange Rate of Agricultural Household Enterprises (NTUP) in Papua in March 2019 recorded an increase of 0.51 percent.
