Abstract

In June 2019, the two CPI cities in Papua Province experienced a change in the index numbers, where Jayapura City experienced deflation of 0.08 percent and Merauke experienced inflation of 0.22 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 142.37 each. and 139.74.

Jayapura City ranks 77th at the national level and 18th at the Sulampua level (Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua), while Merauke ranks 60th at the national level and 13th at the Sulampua level.

The calendar year inflation in Jayapura City in June 2019 was 1.27 percent and the year on year inflation (June 2019 against June 2018) was 4.03 percent. The inflation of the Merauke calendar year in June 2019 was -0.91 and year on year inflation (June 2019 against June 2018) was -0.14 percent
