Abstract

Education is one of the key components in the development of Human Resources (HR), aiming to build resilient, dynamic, productive, and skilled individuals who master science and technology, supported by industrial cooperation and global talent. This direction of HR development is one of the seven national development agendas for 2020–2024, namely to improve the quality and competitiveness of human resources.Enhancing the quality and competitiveness of HR is expected to produce future generations who are healthy, intelligent, adaptive, innovative, skilled, and possess strong character. The 2024 Education Indicators of Papua Pegunungan Province serve as a snapshot of the region's education status and reflect the overall condition of education in Indonesia, based on the results of the March 2024 National Socioeconomic Survey (Susenas). The data presented includes several key indicators of the education process and its outcomes. Additionally, data from school registration collected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology for the 2023/2024 academic year is also included. This data provides information on educational inputs, including the number of schools, students, teachers, educational facilities and infrastructure, and school sanitation. This publication is expected to serve as a reference in providing recommendations for policies and strategies in the field of education development. We extend our sincere thanks to all parties who contributed to the preparation of this publication. We hope it will be beneficial to all stakeholders, especially those involved in the advancement and development of the education sector.
