Ø in June 2015 the two cities in Papua Province recorded CPI increase (inflation) figures of the index are different. Jayapura experiencing inflation 0.80 percent with consumer price index (CPI) 121.42 whereas Merauke deflation-0.57 percent with CPI amounted to 123.24.

From 82 city CPI recorded 76 cities suffered inflation (including the
city of Jayapura) and 6 (six) the city of deflation (including merauke).
The highest inflation occurred in the Slide of 1.90 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in the hammer of 0.03 percent. The biggest deflation occurred in Tual i.e. registration-0.80 percent and the deflation of the smallest terjasi in the base of the Pinang of 0.14 percent. Jayapura ranked 21st at the national level and at the level of the sixth Sumapua (Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua). While the Merauke ranked-80 at the national level and no. 16 on the level of Sumapua.

the monthly inflation rate in the city of Jayapura of 0.80 percent,
higher than the national inflation amounted to 0.54 percent. While
monthly inflation amounted to Merauke-0.57 percent, lower than the
national inflation. The rate of inflation is the calendar year (January – June) Jayapura of 1.01 percent, higher than the national rate of monthly inflation of 0.96 percent.
While inflation in calendar of Merauke-0.53 percent, lower than
inflation in the national calendar. Inflation rate year on year (June
2015 against June 2014) Jayapura of 8.15 percent, higher than the
inflation rate year on year nationwide amounted to 7.26 percent. While the year on year inflation in Merauke of 8.35 percent, higher than inflation year on year.

Inflation in Jayapura in June 2015 occurs due to an increase in the
price of goods and services indicated by the rise in the index in the
Group of expenses: food ingredients Group 1.83 percent; group transportation, communication and financial services 0.86 percent; food group so, drinks, cigarette and tobacco 0.58 percent; Group clothing 0.24 percent; the group housing, water, gas, and fuel 0.22 percent; group health 0.17 percent and education, recreation and sport 0.06 percent. Deflation in Merauke in June 2015 happened due to decrease in prices of goods and services indicated by the decrease in the index in the Group of expenses: food groups-3.00 percent; the Group obtained 0.40 percent and education, recreation and sport-0.10 percent. While the Group's spending index numbers increase is a group of transport, communications and financial services 1.23 percent; food group so, drinks, cigarette and tobacco 0.92 percent; group health 0.71 percent and the group housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.66 percent.
