Ø in July 2015 CPI both cities in Papua Province recorded changes of different index numbers. Jayapura experiencing inflation 0.51 percent with consumer price index (CPI) 122.04 whereas Merauke deflation-0.65 percent with CPI of 122.44.

From 82 city CPI recorded 80 cities suffered inflation (including the
city of Jayapura) and 2 (two) of the city of deflation (including
Merauke). The highest inflation occurs at the base of the Pinang of 3.18 percent and inflation the lowest occurring in Siantar Dykes of 0.06 percent. The biggest deflation occurred in Merauke, namely registration-0.65 percent and the deflation of the smallest terjasi in Tanjung Pandan amounted to-0.48 percent. Jayapura 72-ranked nationally and no. 15 on the level of Sumapua (Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua). While the Merauke 82-ranked nationally and no. 18 on the Sumapua level.

inflation in the national calendar. Inflation rate year on year (July
2015 against July 2014) Jayapura of 8.32 percent, higher than the
inflation rate year on year nationwide amounted to 7.26 percent. While the year on year inflation in Merauke of 6.59 percent, higher than inflation year on year.

Inflation in Jayapura in July 2015 occurs due to an increase in the
price of goods and services indicated by the rise in the index in the
Group of expenditure: group transport, communication and financial
services 2.68 percent; the Group obtained 0.76 percent; group health 0.52 percent; food group so, drinks, cigarette and tobacco 0.51 percent; the Group of education, recreation and sport 0.23 percent; and the group housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.16 percent. While the decline in prices of goods and services indicated by the decrease in the index in the Group of foodstuffs-0.92 percent. Deflation in Merauke in July 2015 happened due to decrease in prices of goods and services indicated by the decrease in the index in the Group of expenses: food groups-2.74 percent and food group so, drinks, cigarette and tobacco-0.16 percent. While the Group's spending index numbers increase is a group of transport, communications and financial services 1.17 percent; the Group obtained 1.00 percent; group health 0.73 percent and the group housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.25 percent as well as a group of education, recreation and sports figures unchanged index (it played so small).
