A. General Description
Consumer
Tendency index (ITK) is an indicator of current consumer economic
development Central Bureau of statistics generated through Consumer
Tendency Survey (STK). ITK is an index which describes economic conditions in consumer quarterly runs and upcoming quarterly estimates.
Samples of STK in Papua Province on the Quarter II-2016 is a household panel (similar to the sample STK Quarter I-2016).
The selection of the sample was done in panels between quarterly in
order to obtain a more accurate picture regarding consumer perception
changes between time. Respondents selected in STK strata blocks Census categories are based on wealth and high index and is a sub sample of National socio-economic Survey (Susenas) specialized in urban areas.
B. Quarterly Consumer economic conditions II-2016

In Quarter II-2016, Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) Papua amounting to
109.20 which means rising consumer economic conditions compared to the
previous quarter's condition.
ü Increase the main consumer economic conditions caused by the rise in household income (109.20 index value). In addition, despite of inflation due to the fasting month, however the influence of inflation against a relatively low rate of consumption (103.68 index value) thus causing an increase in the level of consumption is large enough (116.54 index value).
C. Economic Forecasts Quarterly Consumer III-2016
ü the value of ITK Papua in Quarter III-2016 estimated at 114.53. This indicates an increase in estimated consumer economic conditions will still happen in the upcoming quarter.

Increase are expected to occur due to an increase in household income
(value index 121.22) and an increase in the estimated purchases of
durable goods, recreational, and party/celebration by consumers despite
its increase is relatively small ( 102.8 index value).
