The highest inflation occurred in Merauke of 1.24 percent lowest and inflation occurs in Banjarmasin and Tembilahan of 0.031 percent. The highest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan registration-1.49 percent and the lowest in the deflation and Purwokerto of 0.01 percent. Group expenditure that are experiencing rising prices of goods and services namely the group housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel amounted to-0.03 percent; the Group obtained registration-0.01 per cent; group health of 0.00 percent; the Group of education, recreation and sports of 0.00 percent and group transportation, communication and financial services amounted to-0.14. Inflation in Merauke in March 2017 occurs due to an increase in the price of goods and services indicated by the rise in the index figures on expenditure groups: groups of foodstuffs amounted to 3.64 per cent; the group housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel amounted to 0.98 percent; a group of clothing of 0.20 percent; Education Group; recreation, and sport of 0.19 percent and 0.17 percent health group. Group expenditure has decreased the price of goods and services namely; group transportation and communications and the sport of 1.66 percent and foodstuffs so, drinks, cigarette and tobacco of-0.15 percent.
